Fall is Here!

Fall is definitely here. The days are shorter, the temperatures are cooler and the leaves have changed. On your way to check out the beautiful colors in our mountains, stop by Red Butte Garden and wander through ours while viewing the huge variety of fall-blooming plants.

Conifers

Red Butte Garden's conifers really make the fall colors of the deciduous trees pop!

Hibiscus

Red Heart Rose of Sharon    Hibiscus syriacus 'Red Heart'

This dandy Rose of Sharon variety can be found in the Water Saver terrace of the Water Conservation Garden.

Rabbit Brush

Dwarf Rubber Rabbitbrush    Chrysothamnus nauseosus var. nauseosus

A native variety of Rabbitbrush, this little guy stays nice and compact.

Iris

Iris    Iris germanica cv.

While most Iris cultivars only bloom once, there are a few that are reblooming!

Butterfly

Painted Lady Butterfly    Vanessa cardui

Don't cut back your fading flowers yet!! Painted Lady Butterflies could sure use the extra nectar on their migration south.

Four Seasons

Don't miss this view. It won't last too much longer.

Garden After Dark isn't far away. Check our calendar for days and times.
