It's Spring!!!

It was such a nice day outside today that I just had to get out and see what was happening in the garden. As soon as I set foot on the floral walk I saw the most amazing display of daffodils! There are thousands! All different sizes and colors!

Right now is a great time to see Magnolias in bloom. If you want to see these beauties, the best spots in the garden are the Floral Walk, Court Yard and Fragrance Garden.

  • Plants belonging to the family to the Magnoliaceae are believed to be dating back to 95 million years ago.
  • The magnolia family is one of the most primitive group of angiosperms.
  • Magnolia flowers size ranges from 3-12 inch in diameter.
  • Magnolias seeds may remain dormant for many years (15-20 years).
