In June we usually get to watch the Garden transition from spring to summer, so we hope you enjoy this snippet. Only 10 days left of spring and the Garden is putting on a magnificent show.

This weeks post features the Water Conservation Garden... Please give a round of applause for Guy and Emily who do a spectacular job taking care of the beauty up here!

Aspen Fleabane
Aspen Fleabane    Erigeron speciosus

The Water Conservation Garden holds a dazzling display of both plants and the city.

Frosty Fire Dianthus
Frosty Fire Dianthus   Dianthus x allwoodii 'Frosty Fire'

Whoa! Talk about a fire... Now that's some bright color.

Compact Pineleaf Penstemon
Compact Pineleaf Penstemon    Penstemon pinifolius 'Compactum'

The contrast of the red flowers is quite stunning.

Kannah Creek® Sulfur Buckwheat
Kannah Creek® Sulfur Buckwheat    Eriogonum umbellatum 'Psdowns'

Planted in the bed across the way, here's another photo of Compact Pineleaf Penstemon with Kannah Creek® Sulfur Buckwheat. See what I mean by the stunning contrast?!

Mojave Prickly Pear
Mojave Prickly Pear    Opuntia phaeacantha 'Peach'

There's no flower like a Prickly Pear flower and this bee agrees... Don't mind me while you take a pollen bath bee.

We miss you all and can't wait to have you back in the Garden.
