It's May and the flowering force is strong at the Garden. Come see and smell for yourself!

Bleeding Heart
Bleeding Heart     Dicentra spectabilis 'Gold Heart'

These are always a delight when they are in bloom! They can be seen in the Fern Gully.

Firmament Lilac
Firmament Lilac     Syringa vulgaris 'Firmament'

You won't be able to pass by this shrub without feasting your nose and eyes!

Gowdy Oriental Spruce
Gowdy Oriental Spruce     Picea orientalis 'Gowdy'

Pink cones!? These are the male cones responsible for producing pollen. The pink contrasts nicely against the green needles. This tree can be found in the Rose Garden.

Autumn Amber Skunkbush Sumac
Autumn Amber Skunkbush Sumac     Rhus trilobata 'Autumn Amber'

These very low growing shrubs are a cultivar of the Utah native species. They are growing near the Southwest end of the Rose House.

Marsh Marigold
Marsh Marigold     Caltha palustris

This plants common name is half misleading, it does like to live on the edge of marshes, however, it is not in the marigold family, but rather the buttercup family. It can be viewed near the pagoda of the main pond.

Pink Panda Strawberry
Pink Panda Strawberry    Fragaria vesca 'Pink Panda'

This edible groundcover is just starting to show its flowering force. It can be seen on the South end of the main pond.

The weather is going to be splendid this weekend so come to Red Butte Garden and be one with the flowering force!
