Now that it's officially winter, other parts of plants like to be seen, and some are still hanging on.

Adams Crabapple
Adams Crabapple    Malus ioensis 'Adams'

This fruit likes to hang on for a while. Shall we see how long they can last? Stay tuned.

Full Moon Maple
Full Moon Maple    Acer japonicum 'Vitifolium'

These winged seeds are called samaras.

White Fir
White Fir    Abies concolor

This mature Utah Native is a popular Christmas tree.

Ducks

Brr, the ducks must be well adapted to handle the cold water.

Globose Scots Pine
Globose Scots Pine    Pinus sylvestris 'Globosa'

Conifers truly stand out during the winter.

Water Pavilion

There's something so peaceful about seeing the pond frozen over.

We wish you a happy and safe holiday and new year. The Garden will be closed after today and will reopen in February. We look forward to seeing you next year!
