With the recent temperatures, it has felt more like fall than summer, but we still have a couple more weeks before we can officially consume pumpkin spice everything.

Aloe
Lace Aloe   Aloe aristata

This cold hardy species of Aloe can be found in the Water Conservation Garden.

Anemone
Andrea Atkinson Windflower   Anemone x hybrida 'Andrea Atkinson'

Anemones all over the Garden are beginning to put on a show. This cultivar can be found in the Rose Garden.

Anemone
Pamina Windflower   Anemone hupensis 'Pamina'

This beautiful cultivar can be found in the Rose Garden and along the Floral Walk.

Pineapple Lily
Sparkling Burgundy Pineapple Lily   Eucomis comosa 'Sparling Burgundy'

This unique beauty grows happily along the east shore of the Water Pavilion pond.

Sunflower
Dakota Sunshine Sunflower   Helianthus maximiliani 'Dakota Sunshine'

Perennial sunflowers are a great addition to any garden. The flowers attract bees and butterflies and the seeds attract birds and squirrels.

Luffa
Luffa   Luffa acutangula

Found only in the Children's Garden, the luffa gourd produces beautiful yellow flowers followed by a fruit that, after dried, can be used as a biodegradable shower sponge.

Rose
Birthday Girl Rose   Rosa 'MEIlasso'

The Rose Garden is flush with a second and third round of beautiful flowers.

Mark your calendars! Our fall plant sale is on September 27th and 28th in the Courtyard. Come pick up some of your favorite native and waterwise plants and browse through our huge selection of bulbs.

Don't forget, our hours have changed. During the month of September we're open from 9AM to 7:30PM.
