Red Butte Garden is spiking with winter interest! Winter months provide plants and their usually overlooked parts a chance to shine. Just check out the dogwoods throughout the Garden with their radiant branches on display.

Variegated Tartarian Dogwood    Cornus alba 'Gouchaltii'

Yellow-Twig Dogwood    Cornus alba 'Bud's Yellow'

Winter Flame Dogwood    Cornus sanguinea 'Winter Flame'

We have a mysterious visitor at the Garden! Who do you think it is?

Smooth Sumac   Rhus glabra

In the Fragrance Garden, this sumac is not letting go of its fruit for anything!

Deciduous Holly   Ilex decidua

While in the Four Seasons Garden, you won't be able to miss this tree. It is radiating with bright red fruit!

Golden Candle Oriental Spruce   Picea orientalis 'Aureospicata'

Don't forget the evergreens! This is just one of many conifers showing their cones in all their glory.

If you haven't made it to the Garden this winter, be sure to make a special trip. It is a magical time of year to be surrounded by nature.
