PART 1: Rose Pruning Workshop

Thursday, March 11 6-7:30pm (ONLINE) & Saturday, March 13 10:30am-12:00pm or 1-2:30pm (IN PERSON)

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to properly prune your roses for maximum bloom and health.

PART 2: Choosing the Best Roses

Wednesday, April 7, 6:00pm-7:30PM (ONLINE)

Learn how to choose the best roses for your garden. We’ll cover rose classification, disease-resistance, cold-hardiness and easy-care roses. We’ll also look at how to combine roses with other plants in your garden.


PART 3: Rose Maintenance

Wednesday, June 9, 6:00pm-7:30PM (ONLINE) & Saturday, June 12, 10:00am-12:00pm or 1:00-3:00pm (IN PERSON)

Learn the best techniques for maintaining and caring for your roses. Topics include planting, watering, fertilizing, deadheading, propagation and winter protection. Then join us for an outdoor, socially-distanced meeting at Red Butte Garden to view roses and participate in demonstration and practice of maintenance techniques.

PART 4: Rose Pests and Diseases

Wednesday, July 14, 6:00-7:30pm (ONLINE)

Even with the best planning, you may still experience occasional pest and disease problems in your rose garden. This class will cover the most common rose pests and diseases and how to tackle them safely and effectively.
